We’re gearing up for the 2022 American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) Forum from June 23-25 at the Austin Convention Center. The forum, which is back in person for the first time since 2019, is one of NVA Compassion-First’s biggest recruiting events. See what our Recruiting team has planned.

About Our Booth

You can find us at booth 636 in the Solutions Center. We’ll be handing out NVA C-F- branded swag, including reusable straws, hot/cold packs, pens, reusable bags, S’well® water bottles, and more.

We’ll also have flyers listing open positions per specialty (internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, and nutrition), informing visitors of the hospitals that are hiring within our network, and NVA C-F recruiters will be in the exhibit hall from:

• 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23
• 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24

While at our booth, attendees can enter to win a custom Yeti cooler and pick up an invitation for our Thursday evening social event.

NVA Compassion-First Social Event

Open to all NVA C-F team members, the Thursday evening event is a great opportunity for current and potential candidates to network and socialize with our recruiting team and hospital partners.

The event will be from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Sunset Room, located directly across from the Austin Convention Center. The theme is Western, but western attire is not required. We’ll have catered food stations and a full bar, including non-alcoholic beverages and themed drinks. Attendees can enjoy a photo booth with props and a mechanical bulldog.

We’ll be emailing more information during the first week of June to NVA C-F team members attending the event.

NVA Compassion-First Sponsorships

This year, NVA C-F is sponsoring the ACVIM Forum’s commemorative shirts and candidate lounge. In addition to the physical sponsorships, we’ll also have two web banners in the Attendee eDaily, a web banner in the Attendee eNewsletter, and a full-page ad in the printed on-site event program.

ACVIM Forum commemorative T-shirts
For the first time, each in-person attendee has the option to receive a commemorative forum T-shirt. The shirt will have the 2022 ACVIM Forum logo on the front and the NVA C-F logo on the sleeve. So far, more than 92% of registered attendees have elected to receive a shirt.

ACVIM Candidate Lounge
The candidate lounge, located in room ACC 13AB, is on the convention center’s fourth floor, centrally located by the continuing education lecture rooms. The lounge will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and serve as a quiet space for residents to break between lectures. The lounge will be stocked with separate swag from the booth, a full bar, food and snacks, portable phone chargers and Thursday evening social event invitations. Candidates can also enter to win a $500 Airbnb gift card.
